The 2025 Oulu Housing Fair once again showcased stunning ideas for modern Finnish homes. We are proud to be part of this inspiring event through the beautiful Villapesäpuu home. At the Housing fair we had the honor of presenting our new lighting design — combining Finnish craftsmanship, sustainability and timeless elegance in a whole new way.
QUU DESIGN CHANDELIER AT THE OULU HOUSING FAIR
In collaboration with the family, we designed a one-of-a-kind chandelier for the living room — a true statement piece that transforms the entire space.
The light fixture was fitted with 14 pendant lights and a large ceiling unit, custom-made by a local carpenter.
The pendant lights are crafted from Iittala recycled glass by a Finnish glassblower, and the inner part is 3D-printed from recycled plastic. The pendant lights are finished in clear glass with a patterned design.
The fixture adds warmth and visual rhythm to the space, while delivering functional and comfortable lighting.
Villa Pesäpuu is not just exhibition house – it is a home built with heart.
The Housing Fair family wanted to invest in quality, creating an interior that is timeless, beautiful and built to last for years to come. The chandelier fit perfectly into the family’s beautiful home.
" We had trouble finding a chandelier that was both the right size and visually pleasing for our living room. QUU Design’s lighting had always impressed us, and as our search dragged on, we finally reached out to Heli to ask if it would be possible to design a custom chandelier according to our wishes.
The result is an absolutely stunning ceiling fixture for our high living room. It features three-dimensional details, beautiful patterned glass, and is perfectly proportioned. The chandelier looks magnificent both from below and from the upper floor, just as we had hoped.
The design, production, and delivery process went incredibly smoothly, and Heli went above and beyond to ensure the fixture arrived on time, despite the tight schedule of the Housing Fair.
A huge thank you to QuuDesign and Heli for creating such a beautiful chandelier. "
